Information of Note:
She is buried with her brother and father in the family plot immediately west of the Nickols family plot (she had a joint funeral with her brother and Emma Amelia Nickols). In November 2008 the Seifert Family Foundation purchased markers for the children.
Every source, starting with the Lansing State Journal and including the New York Times & Monty Ellsworth's Bath School Disaster book gives her name as Amelia; this is the name by which she was referred to by her family & friends. However, the church which her parents attended and where she had her funeral list her name as "Emilie Marian" in the records of the funeral, as did the county clerk's register of death certificates. We have chosen to use the clerk's recorded name and the recorded church name as the most authoratative written source for her full name. It has been subsequently confirmed from family sources that they continued to refer to her as "Amelia" after her death.
Additionally, multiple different spellings of the family surname have appeared in various contemporary print sources & on the internet ("Bromundt", "Bromund" and "Dromund" having been the most common). The Township's cemetery burial records have the name listed as "Bromand," while the Clinton County clerk's office had recorded the death certificate for she and her brother under the "Bromont" name. The spelling used in this website is taken from the funeral records of the family's church (Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lansing). The records show that even the church initially used the "Bromund" spelling, only later adding a "t" to each child's name. The family dropped the trailing "t" and began using the "Bromund" spelling at some point in the late 1920's, following the bombing.

Page One of the Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 'Lansing State Journal' The burial site is along the North-South line from just right of the tree seen left and above the center of the photo. The site is between a large "Shipman" marker on the west and "Green" marker on the east. Marjorie's grave is immediately south of her mother's and separate by one grave from her aunt Ethel Jones' marked grave. In late April 2008 a marker was placed at her gravesite through the generosity of Kelly & Tom Stottman of California. During our research we learned that the "Ethel P. Jones" that was interred two sub-plots over (#5) from Marjorie's sub-plot (#3) is actually her mother's sister; the cemetery staff had been operating under the assumption that the plot had been sold to someone outside of the family. Marjorie died on brother Richard's eighth birthday; the following year he would be dead eight days shy of his nineth birthday & the first anniversary of the bombing. He died of myocarditis.

The slideshow above shows photographs of all of those killed in the explosion, to my knowledge. All of the photos were obtained from the above listed source website.

The slideshows below contains photos of the school both before and after the bombing, as well as other relevant subject matter pertaining to this tragedy. These photos were taken from the transcription of the M.J. Ellsworth text, linked to from the above referenced websites, as well as the Rootsweb page here
I compiled the photos myself into these slideshows in order to be able to hopefully display them all in one locale for this blog.
